Jake King grew up in a rodeo family, with his dad riding bulls in PRCA rodeos and raising bucking bulls. His mom rode for Catalena Cowgirls and cut horses. Jake’s wife, a trick rider, starred in the TV show Great American Cowgirl Chicks. Jake has two young children, Olen (2) and EmmyLou (3).
His rodeo journey began in high school, where he roped, bulldogged, and fought bulls. He later fought bulls and steer wrestled at Hill College. Having been involved with bucking bulls since he was 17, Jake’s passion for bullfighting grew from helping his friends to mastering the art of it.
With 15 years on his PRCA bullfighting card, Jake has fought at top rodeos, including the Texas Circuit Finals. When not in the arena, he trains and sells bucking bulls and cow dogs. Grateful for his blessings, Jake gives all the glory to God.
